The inclement weather has prompted Canada Post to issue a yellow delivery service alert for Timmins.
Road conditions are unsafe for mail delivery and collection, the alert reads. A red delivery service alert has also been issued for Sudbury for the same reasons.
A yellow service alert means Canada Post will continue to attempt making deliveries, but there may be delays.
"We encourage customers to clear the snow and ice from their walkways, stairs, and driveways, to ensure safe access to the front door for both their visitors, as well as their mail carriers, when service resumes," Canada Post said.
The red alert means delivery is suspended for the day.
"There will also be no regular collection during red alerts. Delivery will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so," Canada Post said.
