TIMMINS - Enjoy a taste of Ireland and share stories at a new fundraiser.

The Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins (ACT) is hosting Shamrocks and Sharing: A Charity Supper on Saturday, March 15. It runs from 5-9 p.m. at 187 Cedar St. S. The non-alcoholic event is open to people 16 years and up.

“We wanted to create an event that not only celebrates St. Patrick’s Day but also embraces the depth of  Irish culture,” said Kelsey MacDonnell, ACT executive director, in a news release.

“Through music, storytelling, and a shared  meal, we hope to foster a sense of community and raise awareness for our mission of working together for a food-secure community.”

The Irish-inspired meal is catered by Red Seal, the ensemble Bella Corda is playing live, and Brian Walsh will share his captivating Irish folktales.

Proceeds of the event support ACT programs to increase access to local, healthy and affordable food.

Tickets are $85 each and are available online here.
