TIMMINS - If your polling station is at a Timmins school, it is still open for voting.

It's a snowy election day in the area and the school buses are cancelled. Typically when buses aren't running, permits at schools are also cancelled. That's not the case for an election.

Local school boards have confirmed their facilities are open for people to vote.

"With Elections Ontario it is a different process that contracts are assigned directly with the school for full-day usage, this falls outside the Community Use of School Program, which takes place only after regular school hours," said Andrew Marks, Northeastern Catholic District School Board community relations officer.

Polls are open until 9 p.m.

If you received a voter information card in the mail that will tell you where your polling station is. You can also find your polling station online here.

If you received a card, bring that and one additional piece of ID to the poll. If your name is not on the voters' list, you'll need one piece of ID with your name and current address. Find out more about what you can use for identification here

Once the polls close, we'll bring you live election results from the Timmins riding.
