EDITOR'S NOTE: Team Canada won its first game against France 10-0.

Canada's 2024 goalball team is making their debut at the Paris Paralympics today. 

Canada is playing France today (Aug. 29). The action gets starts at 8:45 a.m. EST. 

Timmins' Meghan Mahon is one of the six-member team taking the court. 

She told TimminsToday earlier this week that the team is focused on making the podium at the games.

Canada has two more preliminary round games after this match-up.

The schedule is: 

  • Friday, Aug. 30, 8:35 a.m. EST - Canada vs. Japan
  • Sunday, Sept. 1, 4:30 a.m. EST - Canada vs. Republic of Korea

The quarterfinals are on Tuesday, Sept. 3, the semifinals on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and the bronze- and gold-medal games are on Wednesday, Sept. 5.
