It's time for a long weekend filled with turkey!
The Thanksgiving long weekend means there are changes to what's open.
Thanksgiving day is on Monday, Oct. 14. It means that services such as banks and government offices will be closed.
Here's what the holiday means for City of Timmins services:
Garbage collection
There is no curbside garbage or recycling pick-up on Monday, Oct. 14. Residents who normally have their garbage collected on Monday will have that service on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
The Deloro landfill on Pine Street South is closed on Monday.
Timmins Transit
The buses are not running on Monday, Oct. 14.
Other municipal services
City Hall and Service Timmins are closed, along with the Timmins Museum: NEC and both branches of the Timmins Public Library.
The Archie Dillon Sportsplex is still closed for repairs.
