The Aalborg Pirates of the Danish Ice Hockey League recently announced the signing of the Dokis First Nation product who resides in North Bay.

Last season the former OHLer who spent time with Sarnia, Erie and Sudbury put up big numbers with the Scotland-based Fife Flyers where he netted 28 goals and 32 assists for 60 points in the United Kingdom’s Elite Ice Hockey League (EIHL).

"I’m not too familiar with the organization so far but I’ve heard great things about the league," the 27-year-old told BayToday via text.

"I think the style of play will suit my abilities. I’ve heard great things about the level of hockey in Denmark from the guys I’ve played with. I thought this league was the best way to advance my hockey career."
