Timmins landfills are starting to return to summer hours.
The Tisdale Transfer Site is the first to switch back to the hours.
Beginning today (April 14), the transfer station is open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. There is a $3 user fee to access the site.
On Monday, April 18, the Deloro Landfill on Pine Street South will be open more often.
The summer hours for the site are Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. There is a $3 user fee to use the site, as well as tipping a fee based on the amount of waste being brought to the site.
In the Connaught area, the German Township landfill moves to summer hours on Sunday, May 1. At that point, it will be open Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
