Special weather statement in effect for:
  • Little Abitibi - Kesagami Lake
  • Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls

Late season snowfall on tap tonight and Tuesday.

Showers and flurries are expected to change over to snow tonight as much colder air from the arctic blasts into Northeastern Ontario in the wake of a strong low-pressure system.

Snow will continue on Tuesday as the low moves slowly into Western Quebec.

Most areas will receive a total of near 10 cm of snow by Tuesday evening. The highest snowfall amounts will be near the Quebec border where total amounts close to 15 cm are expected.

Strong and gusty northwesterly winds will result in low visibility at times in blowing snow especially Tuesday.
