Lost Liberals Have No Plan to Save Ontario

QUEEN’S PARK – With the tabling today of the Fall Economic Statement, Ontarians are now fully aware the Liberal government of Premier Kathleen Wynne has no plan to deal with the province’s economic turmoil.

“They are totally lost, and it is now obvious,” said PC Leader Tim Hudak. “Their economic statement not only clearly shows they have no plan, it clearly tells Ontarians that we need to change the team that leads. “The Ontario PCs represent the only party with a plan to restore lost jobs, recharge the manufacturing sector, roll out skilled trades and bring Ontario the prosperity it deserves.” Hudak’s comments came after the release of the long-awaited Fall Economic Statement by the Liberals that shows Ontario’s economy is in further decline, and crippled with the largest debt and deficit in the province’s history. “It is not a pretty picture,” said Finance Critic Vic Fedeli who, along with Hudak, has been leading the way in telling Ontarians over the last 10 months that Premier Wynne’s grasp of the economy is far worse than her elected predecessor, Dalton McGuinty. “It’s clearly time to change the direction of our province,” said Fedeli. “As it stands today, the Liberals, in collusion with the NDP, are trying to spend their way out of poverty. “They’re paying for their VISA with their MasterCard and their MasterCard with their VISA.  Now is not the time to play riverboat gambler with Ontario’s finances.” In an open letter, and in the Legislature, Hudak has asked Premier Wynne to “steal our (economic) plan” to get the economy kick-started but, instead, the Liberals struck 36 panels to come up with absolutely no plan at all. “We knew from the outset there’d be no plan coming out today,” said Hudak. “This government does not even understand the size of the problem if faces, let alone what is required to fix it. “The team that leads clearly needs to be changed.” Video of Hudak and Fedeli can be found here:   http://youtu.be/UYRoypNrBjE
