EGAN TOWNSHIP - Police are looking for a man in connection with a suspicious death investigation near Matheson.
Yesterday (May 23), South Porcupine OPP found a body in a wooded area in Egan Township, which is southwest of Matheson. Police are treating it as a suspicious death.
It's believed that 43-year-old Lucas MacDonald of Egan Township may have information regarding the investigation. There are also two outstanding warrants out for his arrest for breach of recognizance in unrelated matters, said OPP in a news release.
If you find MacDonald, police say not to approach and call 911.
MacDonald is described as 5' 8", dark collar-length hair with some grey, and a thin short beard. He was last seen wearing a ballcap with a bandana underneath it and wrap-around sunglasses.
"The OPP reminds all members of the public to be aware of their surroundings and personal safety at all times and to call the police to report any suspicious activity," said police.
The South Porcupine OPP investigation is ongoing, with help from the OPP forensic identification service in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Ontario Forensic Pathology Service.
