BLACK RIVER-MATHESON - Matheson has closed its office for the remainder of the week due to staffing issues.
The town took to their Facebook page this morning (Feb. 22) to inform residents that the township office would be closed today and tomorrow (Feb. 23).

Mayor Doug Bender told TimminsToday the closure is due to a lack of staffing until Monday (Feb. 26), with no one available to complete transactions until then.
On Feb. 13 the town cancelled its council meeting and closed its office due to a CUPE rally taking place in the afternoon.
