Northeastern Ontario Tourism (NeONT) has named its new executive director.
Trevor Beard, who is originally from Timmins, has been the acting executive director of NeONT in recent months, according to the NeONT announcement.
He has 14 years of experience in sales, hospitality and destination marketing, and is excited to leverage his knowledge of content marketing, social media and digital strategy.
NeONT is a not-for-profit organization promoting the region as premier travel destination. The region includes the districts of Nipissing, Sudbury, Timiskaming and Cochrane.
Over the past three years with Tourism North Bay, Beard has developed many relationships with key industry stakeholders and collaborated on tourism marketing initiatives on both a pan-northern level and across the northeast.
“I’m excited to continue working with this amazing group of dedicated tourism partners and stakeholders and to continue utilizing digital media to help us bring our products to the market,” said Beard in the news release.
