EACOM Timber Corp. reports via its Twitter feed that its Timmins mill has been repaired following Friday's conveyor belt fire.
"@EacomCorp: Great news! Repairs made to the #Timmins mill and it is running this morning. Thanks to all for your support."
The Friday afternoon fire threatened a $25-million facility which was rebuilt following a 2012 fire at the same mill, but fire crews were able to prevent the blaze from causing serious damage to the new structure.
A fire official said the fire is believed to have been caused by a mechanical failure of some type in the conveyor.
