A pair of wildland fires are active in the region after one new fire was confirmed today by the Ministry Ministry of Northern Development, Mines, Natural Resources and Forestry.
Timmins 7, which is located south of Duchabani Lake, is currently not under control at 0.1 hectare.
The other active fire in the northeast region is Algonquin Park 5, which was confirmed on Monday. The fire, which is under control as of this afternoon, is one hectare and located 200m northeast of Opeongo Lake and 200m south of Wright Lake, which are southeast of North Bay,
