Beginning on Friday March 28, 2014 ringette teams from across Northeast Ontario will be in Timmins to compete in the 2014 Northeast Regional Ringette Championships. There will be a lot of exciting competition this year with 47 teams representing their hometowns of Timmins, Iroquois Falls, Sudbury, Valley East, Walden, Sault Ste. Marie, Dryden, Atikokan and West Ferris. The tournament includes teams from the U9 Novice division through to the 18+ Open level, and will also feature several games for our youngest “Bunny” players.
Games will take place from 8am to 10pm on Friday and Saturday with medal games on Sunday. The formal Opening Ceremonies will be at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex at 6:30 pm on Friday evening. A full schedule of game times and arenas can be found on the Timmins Ringette website at www.timminsringette.com. The site will also publish game scores and standings throughout the tournament.
