Epilepsy Awareness Month in Timmins kicked off with a proclamation by the City of Timmins.
Representatives from the Timmins Seizure and Brain Injury Centre were at city hall today for the event.
This month, the centre is hosting a number of events, including a grand opening at a new location on Third Avenue on March 19. There will also be a door and window decor contest.
People are encouraged to wear purple on March 26 for Purple Day to support people living with epilepsy.
