The public school board has asked for a police presence at Roland Michener Secondary School after an alleged threat was made.
According to a statement from District School Board Ontario North East director of education Lesleigh Dye, yesterday administration learned about the threat, which was made over the weekend.
“As a result, police were immediately contacted to investigate. The police investigated and deemed that the threat was not credible. As such, no charges were laid. We requested a police present at the school for the day,” reads the statement.
“All staff and students of Roland Michener Secondary School are safe.”
