Third Avenue will host the annual BIA market on Wednesdays throughout the summer, and the street will be closed between Balsam Street and Spruce Street during those events.
The first market takes place on Wednesday, July 3 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. with streets shutting down from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Urban Market’s theme for the week of July 3rd is Carnival, and there will be crafts for children of all ages, food, a pop-up library, and other activities, rain or shine.
“The Carnival is always a popular theme,” said BIA summer event coordinator Emma Laiho.
The Urban Market will run weekly throughout the summer but will move to Hollinger Park on July 10 to participate in the Public Library’s 100th anniversary celebration.
