Santa Claus parade attracts thousands to downtown Timmins

TIMMINS - Lights, music and a lot of Christmas cheer rolled through downtown Timmins on Saturday. 

The annual Santa Claus parade attracted thousands of people to take in more than 60 floats before getting a glimpse of Saint Nick. This year's theme was Musical Notes and Holiday Floats.

The Downtown Timmins BIA, who hosts the parade, announced the best float winners on social media. The 2025 winners are:

  • Best in Theme: École secondaire publique Renaissance
  • Best Walking Group: Melissa Kelly Dance Academy (MKDA) & Girones Bourdon Kelly Lawyers
  • Best Small Entry: Alzheimer Society Cochrane Temiskaming -Timmins-Porcupine
  • Best Large Entry: Caron Equipment Inc.
  • Most Spirited: École secondaire catholique Thériault
  • Brightest: Filipino Association in Timmins & Lady Luck Family Restaurant & Convenience Store
  • Best Animated: Riverpark Laundry
  • Most Creative: Red Apple Stores
  • Most Original: Secure Systems Inc., G&C Contracting & The Ferrari’s
  • Most Artistic: O'Gorman High School
  • Best Animals: Spoiled Rawt'n
  • Best Choreograph: Northern Diamonds Academy of Dance
  • Best Musical: Timmins High & Vocational School
  • Judges Choice: Fierté Timmins Pride
  • Honourable Mention: Corporation of The City of Timmins
