Another photo-worthy sign has been installed downtown Timmins.
Last week, an interactive Timmins sign was put up outside the Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre. Since it went up, people have been stopping by for photos with the large letters that light up.
This week, the sign outside the Timmins Transit building was put up.
Earlier this year, council approved an advisory committee tasked with creating a plan on how to spend a $66,556 grant for a main street revitalization initiative.
While the original idea was to create a pilot project to revitalize and redevelop the city’s laneways, the group decided to focus on a more realistic project as the project had to be done by March 31, 2020.
