Seniors' curling club helps fill food bank shelves (2 photos)

Members raised the money at the Christmas banquet

A curling league is helping stock the shelves at local food banks.

At its Christmas banquet, the New Horizons Seniors Curling League holds a food drive. It's held every year, except when they weren't able two for two years during COVID.

"For the past two years we asked our members for money only. To the league's astonishment, the members reached deep in their pockets both years," reads an announcement from the club.

Thanks to the generosity of its members, in December the club donated $1,301 each to the Timmins Food Bank and the South Porcupine Food.
