Severe thunderstorm warning issued for:
   Timmins - Cochrane - Iroquois Falls, Ont. (049520)
Severe thunderstorm warning continued for:
   Gogama - Foleyet, Ont. (049620)

Current details:
At 1:37 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts.

This line of severe thunderstorms is located from 20 kilometres northeast of Shawmere to 8 kilometres north of Jerome, moving northeast at 80 km/h.

Hazard: 90 km/h wind gusts.

Locations impacted include:
Gogama, Foleyet, Dana-Jowsey Lakes Provincial Park, Singelake, Horwood Lake, Palomar, Joburke, Groundhog Lake, Rush Lake, Rice Lake, Tionaga, Bromley Lake, Stackpool, Harriet Lake and Beaver Lake.

Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles.

Lightning kills and injures Canadians every year. Remember, when thunder roars, go indoors!

Emergency Management Ontario recommends that you take cover immediately if threatening weather approaches.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are issued when imminent or occurring thunderstorms are likely to produce or are producing one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
