TIMMINS AND DISTRICT HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

Representatives from Shoppers Drug Mart stores #0671 and #1347 attended Timmins and District Hospital this morning for a cheque presentation to the hospital for women’s mental health programs.
Shoppers Drug Mart annual campaign to Grow Women’s Health (formerly Tree of Life) has raised over $26 million from 2002 to 2014 with 100 percent of all proceeds benefitting local Women’s Health initiatives ranging from improving services at local hospitals to supporting mental health programs.
Last year, Shoppers Drug Mart supported 480 charities and their goal for 2015 was to support over 500 local women’s health programs across Canada this year.
“It is very heartwarming, especially at this time of the year, to receive such a generous gift for our mental health program here at Timmins and District Hospital,” states Janna Burke, Executive Director, TADH Foundation. “We are extremely grateful to all the employees at both Shoppers Drug Mart stores for the hard work and dedication they put into raising these funds,” adds Burke.
