One lucky lottery ticket was sold in Timmins recently, the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp. (OLG) announced this morning.

While the big $60 million Lotto Max ticket was sold in the Owen Sound area, a MaxMillions ticket worth $1 million in Friday's draw was purchased by someone in Timmins.

OLG has yet to release the names associated with this week's winning tickets.

In total, 10 winning MaxMillions tickets were sold across Ontario.

The $60 million Lotto Max jackpot ticket was sold in the Owen Sound area.

The province also saw plenty of other big winners from the Friday, February 5, 2016 Lotto Max draw.

There were ten winning MaxMillions tickets sold in Ontario:
    •    $1,000,000 – Ajax area
    •    $1,000,000 – Hamilton
    •    $1,000,000 – Markham
    •    $1,000,000 – Richmond Hill
    •    $1,000,000 – Timmins
    •    $1,000,000 – Toronto (two winning tickets sold)
    •    $500,000 – Barrie (shared with another winning ticket)
    •    $500,000 – Hamilton (shared with another winning ticket)
    •    $500,000 – Ottawa (shared with another winning ticket)

Ontario – the winning doesn't end there!

One ticket for a secondary prize worth $209,183.20 was sold in Windsor.

Since its launch in September 2009, Ontario Lotto Max players have won over $2.7 billion in prizes, including 43 jackpot wins and 304 winning MaxMillions tickets from all across the province.

For each $5 play, Lotto Max players receive three sets of seven numbers ranging from one to 49.

Players must match all seven numbers, in any one set, to win the jackpot and the MaxMillions prizes.

The next Lotto Max jackpot is estimated at $28 million.

Players can purchase tickets at authorized OLG retailers or buy online at PlayOLG.ca until 10:30 p.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 for the draw that evening.
