'Tis the season for Christmas craft shows.
If you're looking to support local crafters and vendors this holiday season, there are a number of options to shop local in Timmins.
Here are some of the craft shows coming up:
The Festive Gift Event in support of the MADD Timmins Chapter is back Sunday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cedar Meadows. Admission is free.
The Schumacher Lions Club Christmas Craft Show runs Nov. 8 - Nov. 10 at the McIntyre Arena. It's open Friday from 5 - 9 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Entrance is $5 per person.
A Christmas Craft Show is being held at the 101 Mall Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Handmade Christmas Market is Saturday, Nov. 16 in the ballroom at the McIntyre Arena. It runs from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and features 38 Northern Ontario makers. Admission is free, and the first 50 shoppers will get swag bags.
R. Ross Beattie's 4th Annual Christmas Craft and Vendor Show is Saturday, Nov. 23 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the school located at 300 Pearl Ave. There will be local vendors and artisans. Admission is $2, and there will also be a bake sale.
Timmins Museum is hosting a Northern Ontario Christmas Market Nov. 30 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. There will be handmade items from local artisans.
The Northern College Student Association is having a Christmas Market Nov. 30 in the college's gymnasium. There will be a variety of small businesses featured. Entry is $2 each or a non-perishable food item for the Northern College student food bank.
Porcupine Mall's Craft and Vendor Show runs Friday, Dec. 6 - Sunday, Dec. 8. It's open Dec. 6 from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., Dec. 7 from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Dec. 8 from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. The annual event features a variety of local crafters and vendors.
