TIMMINS AND DISTRICT HOSPITAL FOUNDATION

Members Knights of Columbus, St. Joachim Council 11568 attended Timmins and District Hospital this morning to present a $10,200 cheque to the Timmins and District Hospital Foundation for the purchase of two stretchers for the ER.
This chapter of the South Porcupine service group, who meet regularly at St. Joachim Church, chose the Foundation as recipients of the funds because they realized that they had not donated to the hospital before and felt this was a good time to start. The group also stated that the TADH Foundation is a worthwhile cause/organization which helps the whole community and that everyone will need or has benefited from the healthcare services provided by the Timmins and District Hospital.
