TIMMINS - There's more snow than usual for this time of year, according to a watershed update.
At this time of year, the Mattagami Region Conservation Authority keeps a close eye on conditions across the Upper Mattagami Watershed.
In today's update, it reports the snow depth and water content conditions are above normal.
"Inflows across the Upper Mattagami watershed slightly increased since the last report due to rain and above average temperatures. Inflows are currently holding at slightly higher than normal levels but are anticipated to decrease with the return to cooler weather. Reservoirs are currently being drawn down," it reads.
MRCA and city staff are closely watching the enclosed portions of Town Creek and Crawford Creek.
