Timmins charities get a boost

McDougall Energy has donated to a couple of local groups

TIMMINS - Local charities are getting a boost from McDougall Energy.

The company recently acquired Nasco Propane in Timmins, and is doing its part to give back this holiday season.

It's donated $86,000 to charities in the communities it serves. Locally, it's contributing to the Anti-hunger Coalition Timmins, and Timmins Victim Services. Each organization received $2,500.

“The health and well-being of our communities are at the heart of what we do at McDougall  Energy,” said president Darren McDougall in a news release.

“We want to ensure the holidays remain joyful for residents. No one should have to choose between buying a gift for someone special and keeping the lights on or enjoying a warm meal. Our support for these essential organizations is our way of  giving back to the communities that have supported us for 75 years.”
