Timmins gathers to remember those who served

Many braved the weather to take part in this year's Remembrance Day ceremony

Royal Canadian Legion Branch 287 held its annual ceremony at the Timmins Cenotaph in Hollinger Park today, with over a hundred people braving the heavy snow and winds to attend.

There was representation from both legions, local politicians, Timmins Police, OPP, Timmins Fire Department, Whitney Volunteer Firefighters, Cochrane District EMS, local businesses, and more.

In South Porcupine, at the Legion there, another ceremony was held to honour those who have fallen in military service to Canada.
