The Timmins Police Service proudly took an active part in a charity volleyball tournament hosted by Ecole Renaissance today.

Offices from the Timmins Police Service took no prisoners on the volleyball courts and helped raise funds for the Timmins and Area Search and Rescue Unit and Cystic Fibrosis Canada.

The Timmins Police Squad played the Ecole Renaissance Jags, the hosting school’s volley ball squad.

Despite a good effort by the officers, they were eliminated from the final rounds of competition.

Close to $3,000 was raised by this worthwhile event that promoted community awareness and good sportsmanship.
