TIMMINS - Mark your calendars, the Timmins pool has a reopening date.

The Archie Dillon Sportsplex pool is reopening on Monday, Nov. 18.

"Repairs are complete, and pool staff will begin resuming services with a temporary two-week swim schedule for open swims, lap swims, and available rental times," reads a City of Timmins post sharing the news.

The pool has been closed since Sept. 9 because of mechanical issues.

In September, a $316,496 contract was awarded to N. Lacroix Plumbing and Heating to supply and install a boiler system and water heating coil at the pool. Last month, the closure was extended due to delivery delays on some of the supplies. At that time the reopening was estimated to be Dec. 2.

Registration for winter swimming lessons is on Dec. 3.
