The Timmins Rock scored three unanswered third period goals to finish off a 4-2 victory over the Hearst Lumberjacks at the McIntyre Arena in Timmins on Friday night.

Rock veterans Harry Clark and captain Felix Cadieux-Fredette had one goal and one assist in the win.

The Lumberjacks opened the scoring on a 2-on-1 at Aiden Kalin notched his 17th low blocker on the Rock’s Dryen Riley for a 1-0 lead for the visitors at 1:53 of the second period.

The visitors added to the lead on the power play as Liam Boswell ripped a shot that went off someone in front and past Riley which made it 2-0 Lumberjacks at 7:11.

The Rock got on the board on the power play as Harry Clark fed Felix Cadieux-Fredette and his quick release slipped by Tristan Boileau which made it 2-1 at 16:44 of the middle frame.

The Rock got things going early and set the pace for the third period as Lucas Lowe was credited with his 12th with an assist from Hayden Rynard which made it 2-2 at the two-minute mark.

The Rock netted the game-winner as Liam Wells took a pass on the left wing, drove the net and ripped a shot by Boileau which sent the McIntyre Arena into a frenzy at 10:25.

The Rock added an insurance marker on a turnover behind the net as Nolan Ring found a streaking Harry Clark in the slot and he fired the puck home for a 4-2 lead at 16:02.

With the comeback win, the Rock move to 30-11-2-0 for 62 points while the Lumberjacks, who had a chance to move back into second in the East, drop to 23-13-3-2 for 51 points.
