TIMMINS - City staff is taking a look at another Timmins intersection.
At Tuesday's meeting, Timmins council asked staff for a traffic study on the Second Avenue and Brunette Road intersection.
Coun. John Curley wants to see if it warrants a three-way stop.
"We've dealt with that intersection for years over the Connecting Link and I don't think there's anybody in this room that hasn't been at that stop sign and it is difficult with that corner and coming from the grocery store," he said.
Right now, there is a stop sign on Second Avenue, which runs east-west, with Brunette traffic running without interruption.
Over the last couple of construction seasons, Algonquin Boulevard was closed for long periods and traffic was diverted down Second Avenue. One of the detour routes to access Second was Brunette.
Last year, temporary flashing lights were installed at Second Avenue and Brunette during construction season, creating a three-way stop.
This is the second traffic report council has asked for recently.
In January, staff were asked for a report to consider an all-way stop at Toke Street and Ross.
