On the north end of Porcupine Lake is a great spot for picnics and photos.
Bannerman Park is located on the northeast shore of the lake in Porcupine. It features park benches, picnic tables, a pavilion and lookout on the lake. The flower gardens are maintained by volunteers.
The park is named after George Bannerman, who staked the first claims in the Porcupine Camp back in 1909.
Across the street is a parkette with an historical plaque honouring the Porcupine Mining Area, along with historical items and a playground.
To the west across the bridge is Bristol Road Park, another small maintained area with park benches overlooking the lake.
