Timmins, you did it.
The Canadian Automobile Association has awarded Algonquin Boulevard the top two spots in its annual Worst Roads, with Algonquin West edging out Algonquin East for top spot.
Riverside Drive also made the list, coming in at the No. 8 spot.
The win comes after a campaign by Mayor Steve Black to encourage residents to vote for Timmins roads in the campaign.
From CAA:
"The condition of our roads continues to be on the minds of Ontarians in 2015. This year, over 2,000 roads from across the province were nominated in the CAA Worst Roads campaign!
Representatives from the Ontario Road Builders’ Association (ORBA) have reviewed and verified the list of Ontario’s Top 10 Worst Roads for 2015.
Algonquin Boulevard West in Timmins took the top spot in this year’s poll. Timmins has three roads on the provincial Top 10 list, while Toronto has two, including Dufferin Street, which previously held the number one spot for three years."
