The Northern Ontario Handmade Market is back at the McIntyre Community Building this Saturday, Nov. 16.

Timmins Council Meeting
Tuesday, Nov. 12, 6 p.m.

PEO Porcupine/Kapuskasing Chapter AGM
Wednesday, Nov. 13, 6-9 p.m.
Science Timmins, 225 5th Ave.

This event is open to all PEO members and partners. The night consists of dinner, the annual general meeting, and a fun engineering challenge. Tickets are $15 and are available online here.

 

 

 

100th Anniversary Community Mural Unveiling
Wednesday, Nov. 13, 6:30 p.m.
Timmins Public Library, 320 Second Ave.

With the Timmins Public Library turning 100, the Porcupine Art Club stepped up with a special project to commemorate the milestone. The new mural celebrates the history, diversity and collective culture in the community and library members since its inception in 1924. New signage above the library entrance is also being revealed.
 

Handmade Holiday Market
Saturday, Nov. 16, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
McIntyre Community Building, 85 McIntyre Rd. 

Northern Ontario Handmade’s popular market is back for its Christmas edition. Shop over 60 makers from Timmins and area and beyond. 

10th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting
Sunday, Nov. 17, 5:45 p.m.
Hollinger Park, Timmins

This year’s theme is Go big … or go back to the North Pole! Stage by the City of Timmins and Newmont Porcupine, there will be a festive French sing-a-long with the Lapointe sisters, a performance by Pat Picard School of Dance, free hot chocolate, Dream Acres alpacas, and Santa. Non-perishable food items are being collected for the local food banks.

Timmins Museum: NEC, 325 Second Ave. 

This exhibition of work is on display in the museum's Grey Gallery. It features 11 artists who interpreted two poems of their choice, using a variety of media and artistic approaches. The poems used as inspiration are part of the exhibit. Entry to the museum and exhibit are free.
