The Timmins Santa Claus parade is this weekend.

Timmins Rock vs. Hearst Lumberjacks
Friday, Nov. 22, 7 p.m.
McIntyre Arena, 85 McIntyre Rd.

Timmins’ Junior A hockey squad is on home ice for a regular season game. The box office opens 90 minutes before the puck drops. Tickets at the door are $15 for adults, $12 for seniors (60 years and up) and students, $9 for youth ages seven to 12, and $7 for children six and under with a guardian. Sitting on the licensed balcony is $17. Tickets are also available online here

Ski swap and sale
Saturday, Nov. 23, 9 a.m.-noon
Porcupine Ski Runners, 1875 Hwy. 101 E.

Get geared up for cross-country ski season! Buy used or new equipment or drop off your skis for waxing. If you have used equipment to sell, drop off your goods at the club on Nov. 22 from 5-8 p.m.

Celebrating the Lights of Christmas Bazaar
Saturday, Nov. 23, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
Porcupine United Church, 122 Queen St.

Enjoy a delicious lunch that includes your choice of soup, sandwiches and desserts. Browse the tables with baked goods and crafts. Tickets are $12 at the door.

Christmas Tea and Bazaar
Saturday, Nov. 23, Noon-2 p.m.
Timmins Finnish Seniors’ Home, 231 Huot St., South Porcupine

Stop by to buy Finnish coffeebread, buttertarts and knitted items. Dessert and/or sandwich plates are $4 each and include coffee and tea.

Santa Claus Parade
Saturday, Nov. 23, 6 p.m.
Downtown Timmins

This year's theme is musical notes and holiday floats. Show up early to stake out a spot to see Saint Nick's annual tour through the streets of downtown Timmins. On the day of the parade, streets along the parade route will be closed to traffic at 5 p.m. There is no on-street parking starting at 4 p.m.

Chamber Winds
Sunday, Nov. 24, 2-4 p.m.
St. Matthew's Cathedral, 331 Fifth Ave.

This event features the TSO Chamber Ensemble with Charlotte Nichols and Chris Rodgers. Tickets are $25 or $15 for people under 30 years. They're available online here.

Surviving the Holidays
Sunday, Nov. 24, 2-4 p.m.
Bible Fellowship Assembly, 207 Lawrence St.

For those who have lost a loved one the Christmas season - especially the first one after the loss - is often something to dread. This program offers practical help via a video and group discussion. A work book is provided to help through the season. Register online or arrive early and walk in and register. For those on Zoom please register early so we can get the link and material to you.
