If you’re taking down your real Christmas tree and wondering what to do with it, there are sites across the city to dispose of it.
The preferred drop-off site is at Hollinger Park, where it will be used to help create a wind barrier around the Sk8te Hollinger figure-eight skating oval, which is in its third season.
If you can’t get to the Hollinger, there are other sites you can go to. The last day for tree disposal is Jan. 12.
According to the City of Timmins, the sites are:

• Deloro Landfill Site (Pine South)
• Airport Road Ball Park
• Confederation Arena
• Schumacher Fire Hall
• Public Works Yard on Evans Street in South Porcupine
• Tisdale Transfer Site
• Whitney Arena
• Public Works Yard on Falcon Street
• Connaught Community Centre
• Hoyle Community Centre
