Facebook user Nicole Leblanc has set eyes goggling with a video posted last night that she says shows a pair of white moose on Highway 101, near the town of Foleyet.
No surprise there. Foleyet is known as the white moose capital of Ontario, after all.
What's the difference between an albino moose and a 'white moose'? According to this article in the Globe and Mail, in the case of the white moose, each of the animal's parents have a recessive gene that causes most of their hair to grow out white.
Leblanc tells TimminsToday she and her husband spotted the pair Saturday while heading west toward Foleyet.
"My husband has been hunting for many years and it was his first sighting," said Leblanc. "Quite the blessing."
