TIMMINS VOICES
Ms. Fournier and Ms. Tesluk will be debuting the Timmins Song played to their winning tune and arrangement on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, 7:30 p.m. at Christopher’s Coffee House, 35 Pine St. S. in Timmins.
Richard Buell, Timmins author and owner of Frosted Forest Publications, a publishing house specializing on Timmins area, its heritage and its history.
“Congratulations to Tammy and Susan for coming up with a tune that will make Timmins’ proud,” said Frank Giorno, the Founder of Timmins Voices and the lyric writer.
“It will be a fun song to sing around the campfire and at parties,” Giorno noted. "And one that will make Timmins proud.”
Giorno thanked Mascioli Enterprises for generously sponsoring the Timmins Tune Contest.
“The Mascioli family has contributed so much to the well-being of Timmins over the last 100 years,” Giorno stated. “Having Mascioli Enterprises sponsor the Timmins Song is just another example of their commitment to Timmins.”
Timmins-born, Tammy Fournier is a well-versed healer, offering services in Health, Fitness and Business Education.
She is a Registered Massage Therapist and Certified Reflexologist.
For more than thirty years, Tammy has been helping people of all ages, with an emphasis on spirituality and balance,
Susan Tesluk is a native to Timmins and is a mother of four.
She has enjoyed playing, singing and writing music most of her life.
She is retired as an engineer and currently assists seniors with various needs. Her passions include travelling, playing drums, reading, and movies.
She sits on two boards, is treasurer on two committees and leader of Timmins’ first Meetup.com group.
Before being awarded the prize the submission was reviewed by two Timmins musician, Mits Takayesu, a bassoonist, with the Timmins Symphony Orchestra and Karina Douglas, a clarinet and bagpipe player.
They both found the submission worthy of being awarded the first prize.
