Winter parking ban in effect

The City of Timmins' overnight winter parking ban is in effect. 

The on-street parking ban started Nov. 1 and runs unil Apri 30. 

Vehicles parked on the street between 11:30 p.m. and 7:30 a.m. will be subject to a $50 fine, according to the city's website. The vehicle may also be towed at the expense of the owner. Streets exempt from the ban have signs indicating it. 

With winter weather setting in, snow removal will also be starting in the coming months. 

Areas that have snow removal coming up will be marked with winter road maintenance signs. According to the city, if your vehicle is in the way of snow removal, you could get a $50 fine and it may be towed at the owner's expense.
