When the bell rings on a popular wrestling event, it does more than provide a night of high-flying entertainment.
Rock Solid Wrestling promoter Marc Ethier recently dropped off a $2,651 donation to Sports for Kids Timmins, which helps eligible families pay for organized sports.
The cash was raised at Rock Solid Wrestling's Valor event in October at École secondaire catholique Thériault.
"Everything has gone up in price and things are tough out there for everyone. But especially for families in need. So I chose Sports For Kids Timmins as the charity to help out this time around. This way, underprivileged families can enrol their children to play and enjoy sports. I truly believe that they should and deserve the opportunity to do so," said Ethier, who has been promoting local wrestling events since 2017.
"I've also started planning our next event which will be in April 2024."
