A grisly discovery was made in a rural area of Timmins in the spring.

Friday, April 20, Timmins Police were called to a suspicious vehicle fire on Price Road, about six kilometres south of Dalton Road.

Inside the burnt-out sedan were the bodies of Tammy Robitaille, 34, Cole Gagnon, 16, and Brandi Gagnon, 14. The body of Joey Gagnon, 37, was found a short distance from the vehicle.

Because the road is used for accessing cottages and by sportsmen, police made a public appeal for information about the mother, father and two children, as well as anyone who saw the vehicle involved, a 2004 Chrysler Intrepid, leading up to the events.

A GoFundMe campaign was also set up to “help with the unexpected financial cost of funeral and memorial arrangements."

Police said the tragedy is an isolated incident.
