The YMCA of Northeastern Ontario is actively seeking passionate, community-driven leaders to join its board of directors.

"This volunteer role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact across Sudbury, North Bay, and Timmins, by helping guide the YMCA’s long-term strategic direction and ensuring its financial sustainability," says a news release.

As a strategic governance board, members play a crucial role in upholding the YMCA’s charitable purpose while overseeing and monitoring risk management and long-term planning. The YMCA is currently recruiting individuals with expertise in the following areas:

  • Legal
  • Financial (CPA designation or equivalent)
  • Government Relations

“The YMCA has been a cornerstone of community health and well-being, and we are looking for dedicated individuals who can help us continue to grow and serve,” said Antoine Vezina, YMCA of Northeastern Ontario board chair, in a news release. “This is an exciting opportunity to be part of an organization that empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and fosters leadership.”

As a board member, individuals will contribute to shaping the YMCA’s future, ensuring that it remains a vibrant, accessible, and sustainable organization for generations to come.
