Several people allegedly driving while high are facing charges.
From Jan. 2-5, James Bay OPP charged three people who police say were driving while under the influence of drugs.
The first incident happened on Jan. 2 around 12:45 p.m. when a vehicle with an obstructed licence plate was pulled over by police on Kolb Avenue in Kapuskasing.
A 25-year-old man from Opasatika is charged with operation while impaired - drugs, failure or refusal to comply with demand, and driving a vehicle with cannabis readily available.
The accused was released from police custody and is scheduled to appear in a Kapuskasing court on March 17.
A vehicle travelling with no lights was stopped on King Street in Mattice on Jan. 4 around 8:15 p.m. While talking to the driver, officers determined the driver had consumed an into and was arrested.
An 18-year-old man from Mattice-Val Côté is charged with operation while impaired - drugs, and operation while impaired - blood drug concentration.
The accused was released from custody and appears in court in Hearst on Feb. 26.

On Jan. 5 around 1:30 a.m., a vehicle travelling at a "high rate of speed" was stopped on Stewart Avenue in Kapuskasing.
A 32-year-old man from Kapuskasing is charged with operation while impaired - drugs, and operation while impaired - blood drug concentration. The accused is scheduled to appear in court on March 17 in Kapuskasing.
Each of the accused had their driver's licence suspended for 90 days and their vehicle impounded for seven days.
None of the charges have been tested in court and the accused are considered innocent unless proven guilty.
