Man wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested in North Bay

He's serving time for armed robbery and assault, among other charges

A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for Brandon Roy, who is serving time for armed robbery and assault, among other charges.

OPP say the offender who's been "unlawfully at large" since Nov. 26 was arrested in North Bay by the North Bay Police Service.

TIMMINS - A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a federal offender serving time for armed robbery and assault, among other offences. 

The Repeat Offender Parole Enforcement (ROPE) squad has issued a plea for the public's help to locate 30-year-old Brandon Roy. OPP say he's broken his statutory release, which is when federal offenders who have served two-thirds of their sentence are released from prison under supervision.

Roy is described as an Indigenous male who is 6-feet (180) centimetres tall, weighs 160 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes. 

He's serving time for: 

  • Robbery - Armed Robbery
  • Assault
  • 3 counts of fail to comply with order at large
  • Fail to Comply with SOIRA Reg Order
  • 2 counts of fail to Attend Court
  • 5 counts of theft under
  • Possession of Property Obtained by Crime-Over $5,000

Police say he's known to visit Timmins, Thunder Bay and Kenora.
