Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Nishnawbe Aski Police Service (NAPS) joined forces to conduct extra patrols on the ice road between Moosonee and Attawapiskat.
During the March 2 patrols, 25 mandatory alcohol screening tests were conducted.
As well, 40 vehicles and 20 commercial motor vehicles were stopped, the OPP said in a news release.
As a result, one three-day warn range suspension was issued, and three people were charged under the liquor licence and control act.
