During the week of April 30 to May 5, 2023, the Northeastern Catholic District School Board will celebrate the significant contribution that Catholic education has made to the community, the province and to Canada. Our Catholic Graduate Expectations challenge students articulate in society those fundamental values that underpin Catholic education.
The theme for this year's Catholic Education Week is: Catholic Education: We are many, we are one.
There are five sub-themes for each day of Catholic Education Week. There are five sub-themes for each day of Catholic Education Week illuminate the path to being many and one. We achieve this unity:
• Monday - When we see
• Tuesday - When we listen
• Wednesday - When we reflect
• Thursday - When we learn
• Friday - When we act
Catholic Education Week is marked by special activities at all grade levels, including prayer celebrations, school community events, and service activities. It is our prayer that our students and staff find ways to live the Catholic Education Week theme as best as possible.
As a Catholic school board, we continue to pray for our students, our staff, and all of our families during this special week in Catholic education.
Sincerely,
Tricia Stefanci Weltz,
Director of Education
