If spreading a little Christmas cheer is on your to-do list this weekend, downtown Timmins is the place to be.

The Downtown Timmins BIA's annual Holiday Fun Day is being held Saturday, Dec. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m.

The action is happening at three locations.

At the Timmins Public Library, Santa and Mrs. Claus will have a gift for every child. There will also be storytelling and songs, magnet making, a chance to meet the Northern Ontario Expo characters, and the Digital Creator media lounge.

Across the street at the Timmins Museum: National Exhibition Centre there are salt dough ornaments, and a bonfire and marshmallows. There will also be family photos with a professional photographer and background courtesy of Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus and Timmins MPP Gilles Bisson.

Hot chocolate and cookies will be served up at the Timmins Economic Development Corporation. There will also be live music, temporary Christmas tattoos, Queen Elsa, and horse-drawn sleigh rides.

All of the events are free, however donations for the food bank are being collected at the locations.
