There’s a little holiday magic — and special shopping event – coming up in downtown Timmins.

This Friday some downtown businesses that are not normally open during the evening will be keeping their doors open.

The Window Wonderland Walk is taking place Dec. 1 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

“We’ve put it out there to our BIA Members that we’d like to do this since most work during the day and don’t get the chance to come shop downtown Timmins,” wrote Stacey Martin, Downtown Timmins BIA communications co-ordinator.

“We’ve had 21 downtown businesses agree to keep their doors open, decorate their windows and perhaps offer a discount or a holiday treat to invite everyone into their business to have a look and or to shop.”

A couple businesses are even going above and beyond to create a little extra holiday cheer.
